Welcome to Symposium on Development
This symposium on “A
Critique of Development (or Deconstructing Development): Sudan in the Matrix”, held on 30-31 March 2018,
is jointly conceived/coordinated by Professor Sondra Hale and Dr. Gada Kadoda, and is
organized in Khartoum by the Sudanese Knowledge Society and is sponsored by the Sudanese Medical Heritage Foundation. We offer these ideas as challenges to scholars and activists in
analyzing Sudan’s human development capabilities, life on the ground, and thinking about possible futures.

DeleteFirst I would like to thank SKS and Dr. Gada for this interesting subject and highly needed and expected candid discussion over the critical development issues in Sudan. As one of the workers in this field I would have benefited a lot form the various expertise of the symposium participants, but unfortunately during these days I will be out of Khartoum on a field mission. But i will be following the report or the outcomes of the symposium either here or via Email if possible. Thank you and please keep updated. All ways wish you all the best. Dalal
